Thailand's moves towards aviation liberalization began in 1995, when the government amended long- standing policy to allow more than one national flag carrier. Since then until now, with the global and Thailand's national open- sky policy, Thailand has both domestic and international airlines with the majors ones namely Thai Airways International and Bangkok Airways.
